Great Excursion to SLC with the Puffer Brothers!!!

Last Monday we had great excursion with my two brothers and their wives to SLC by way of the train from Ogden. Clark is the President of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and arranged a trip to see the roof top gardens on top of the LDS converence center. This above photo is Paul who is pretending to be asleep on the train.
The three sister-in-laws....Carma, Marilyn, and myself.

Here we are on the roof top gardens. I can't believe there are huge gardens on top of the roof with trees, flowers, grasses, and fountains.

There is a large glass window with all different types of people representing who we we teach around the world about the gospel. The photos are sandblasted onto the glass...AMAZING!

This was a really cool backdrop to the large fountain. "And this Gospel shall be preached unto every Nation and Kindred, and Tongue, and People."

It's quite a view up there you can see the captial building and the Deverow Mansion.

Quite peaceful pools....
The temple and the construction of the new city center in the background.
You can even see Angel Moroni from a different view up there.
Carma and Paul listening to the missionary horticulture specialist who has the special elevator key which allowed us to go on the roof. If you don't have him you don't get to go on the roof. There is no other way up there.

Clark and Marilyn listening intently about the roof top garden info.

We ate at the Lion House Pantry.....YUMMY>>>>and then returned to the train for the ride to the Ogden train station to pick up the car and go home.
Everyone was laughing endlessly to Paul and Clark teasing me and telling jokes.
It was a great day with the Puffer Clan....See you all this Sunday to celebrate Paul and Carma's 50th Wedding Anniversay at Cherry Hill.

That looks like a great time. It's amazing that Salt Lake can be so close, but we never really get down there to see all of these cool things!

Nothing quite like big brothers teasing their little sis, is there?
