Jazz got Whipped
Wow, How bad was last night's Jazz game with the Lakers? They whipped our behinds and on our home court! So sad! If we had of won we would have broke our Home Courts wins EVER! I hope we can beat them if we meet them in the playoffs. It was horrible! That's one game I would like to forget!

IS ANYONE OUT THERE??????
Hello Everyone,
I am currently writing another book with Susan Madsen. Hopefully the title will be IMPACT-The Power and Influence of Mother's on our lives. We are interviewing alot of people. Some day down the road I think we have left the door open to do a sequil titled IMPACT II-The Power and Influence of Father's on our lives.
Sometimes I wonder if anyone is reading my blog....hello out there...anyone listening....Maybe this old grandmother just doesn't have anything worthwhile to say....
But, I'll keep trying.
Shawn and family in India will be in the states this summer for four to six weeks. They plan on getting together with us. We're still looking to have a family reunion on the first weekend of June unless we change it for Shawn and family.

Hello Everyone, I'm feeling a little bit better today. I thought I would tell you about myself.
I am married with four sons. My first three sons are married. I have 12 grandchildren with one more on the way. My fourth is autistic and lives in a group home. I graduated from Utah State University with a B.F.A. Degree in Art Education. I love people, nature, hiking, chasing sunsets, and eating popcorn while watching the Utah Jass. My freinds caracterize me as a hopeless idealist, impulsive, spontaneous, dramatic, and forever "depthy".
I teach classes in creative writing and was a popular speaker throughout Utah at League of Utah Writers' workshops and chapter meetings, as well as church events. I've been characterized as a writer who returns to her roots, bringing the reader along to share in the tender relationships of her past. I've been told that my portraits are a study in human relationships and the goodness of shared experiences.
I was a member and journalist and member of the League of Utah Writers for eleven years. I was state president of the league in 1989. During my years as a member of this group I won 28 awards and for two consecutive years was the recipient of the Pegasus Award for outstanding achievement in writing. I also won awards in music composing and poetry.
From my dust jacket from one of my books: "Because of Ruth's studies with noted poet Veneta Nielsen, her writing takes on a poetic flavor-a feeling of cadence and visual clarity."
This entry is just one of my talents. I'm not braging, just letting you see some things about me. The deeper things and more important things are less public and more heart filled -like family, grandchildren, friends, and religious beliefs.
My husband is a retired steel worker from Nucor Steel. He's really enjoying his retirement....but more about him later.
I have two published books:
Portraits from an Unfinished Woman and
Hard Won Wisdom - for a richer life from the greatest generation
Both books can be purchased on Amazon.com. Or, Hard Won Wisdom can be purchased at any Deseret Book Store...TRY THEM -YOU MIGHT LIKE THEM-YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!

Hello Everyone, This is my very first Blog. Who would have ever guessed that this 62-year-old grandmother would have her own blog. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Now what to write??? Thanks to my daughter-in-law I am ON and ready to GO!!! She will show me the in's and out's, Photos etc. as we go along.
I have a cold today so this first entry is a test and only a test. That reminds me of something I read:
THIS LIFE IS A TEST,
IT IS ONLY A TEST,
had it been an actual life,
you would have received
further instructions on
where to go and what to do!
Pretty thought provoking hey?...think about it.
Later....I'm a sick lady today....
