I love my old house on the hill. It is filled with memories!!!
Don't you think it is an inviting house?
People always ask me, "What is the name of that color on your front door?"
As some of you know we are putting in curb and gutter on the south side of our property. It's all done except for filling in the edges with grass and putting new sprinklers in....wow what a good husband I have.
One bright red patio....you all know I LOVE red!
As usual every day for the past two weeks the clouds appear in the west and afternoon showers keep everything green.
I have a garden this year. We have potatoes, peas, and pole beans. And we are trying "square foot gardening" this year.
I bought two umbrellas, both the same, one for the front door and one for the table along with matching red seat pads.
This photo was taken from the balcony of the shop. Things are still growing "even" after the freakish hail storm on my birthday, June 2.
And of course, I LOVE MY FLOWERS and I have alot of them.
I don't know why I always plant redishes. I forget to pick them and then when I remember they are too woody to eat.I planted everything and some items I had to replant because of the hail.
These four plants I am most excited about. They are cantalope and they look pretty healthy and strong. YUMMY
Roger read in a magazine that you could plant potatoes in a bag (weed protector cloth wrapped around with dirt inside). AND, the potatoes are actually growing. INTERESTING..
You name it, I probably planted it...even an artichoke...I don't even know if I like them.
Peas, onions, lettuce..
Then there are all of my potted flowers.....gives my heart joy to just sit and view them.
It's not even the heart of summer...these flowers along the wall have not shown all their colors just yet.
Even a row of flowers on our new driveway.....NICE
Hidden baskets in the corner of the yard...what a focal point.
My rose pots are wonderful especially this one. It's called the JUDY GARLAND Rose.
